SkyMon Software (SkyMon-CC) controlling various Monitoring and Direction Finding Systems (MDFS) will provide Communications Regulators with comprehensive facilities in order to supervise and regulate telecommunication services according to their mandate. Each Fixed, Remote and Mobile stations includes the following components:
- Antenna system
- Measurement and Receiving Equipment
- Direction finding equipment
- Operator position with notebook and system software
- Audio Recording and Data decoding facility
The following diagram shows an overall picture of an extended system consisting of fixed and mobile stations. Later phases of the system life cycle could bring extended coverage by the inclusion of additional fixed and mobile monitoring stations. The system is designed for future expansion.

Typical SkyMon Control Centre with Fixed and Mobile Monitoring Systems

Typical SkyMon –Software Configuration
Automatic and manual orders are generated using the SkyMon-CC(Master client) interface.
The typical screen layout will give the operator access to remote wideband and narrowband functionalities i.e:
- Single Freq Orders (Received power measurements, Bearing (LOB), Spectrum Occupancy, Frequency Deviation, Bandwidth, Modulation and Field-Strength amongst others.)
- Frequency Scan (Start , Stop Freq , BW/Res)
- Channel Scanning (Channel list scan)
- BaseLine DFs (Real-time – 3 Station Tasking as Default)
- Remote Monitoring & Direction Finding (Limited Remote real-time Wideband DF capability depending on the connection line speed)

Typical SkyMon-SW configuration Remote & Local Operation
The SkyMon-CC software integrates to existing spectrum management software via easy xml format file exchange.
